| Caption: This chart shows floating weekly maximum temperatures in the Sheepscot River at Whitefield (river kilometer 7.25) during summer of 1994, 1995, and 1997. Floating weekly maximum temperatures exceed 22.5°C in all years within the month of June throughout August. Elliott (1991) found that juvenile Atlantic Salmon stop feeding when temperatures exceed this level. Temperature data are from the Maine Atlantic Salmon Commission.
