Fish: Juvenile Salmon Size Distribution at 3 Sheepscot Sites 1958-2003 |
|
Caption: This chart shows the length of the juvenile Atlantic salmon caught during electrofishing surveys at three long-term monitoring sites in the Sheepscot River watershed during the years 1958-2003: mainstem Sheepscot at Head Tide (river kilometer 17.25), mainstem Sheepscot above the West Branch (river kilometer 32.48), and the West Branch Sheepscot near its mouth (river kilometer 0.54). Size distributions were generally similar between the three sites, except that the largest fish (greater than 200 millimeters) were only found almost exclusively at the two mainstem sites.
