Caption: This chart shows mean pool-tail gravel permeabilities in the South Fork Garcia above the confluence with the mainstem Garcia River. Whiskers show one standard error about the mean. Pool-tail permeabilities ranged from very high at five sites to moderate to low at the remaining three. The average permeability for the stream study segment is approximately 17500 cm/hr (pink line). Data were collected by the Mendocino Redwood Company in 2000 as part of their long-term channel monitoring program. See InfoLinks for more information.
