Temperature: FWA, Signal Creek Sites, 1998 |
|
Caption: This chart shows floating weekly average temperature at four sites (5225, 5229, 5207, 5232) in the Signal Creek watershed for the year 1998. Signal Creek did not warm or cool more than 0.8°C as it flowed approximately 4.7 kilometers between the upper and lower sites. Floating weekly average temperatures did not exceed 16.8°C at any site, indicating the stream was suitable for coho salmon rearing at all locations in 1998. Welsh et al. (2001) found that coho are not likely to persist where maximum floating weekly average temperature (MWAT) exceeds 16.8°C. See InfoLinks for more information.
