Caption:  This chart shows survey results from on-bank and direct dive observation of 34 habitat units along the lower North Fork Garcia River on September 17-18, 1991. The fish community was dominated by steelhead young of the year. Also present were steelhead yearlings and steelhead two year olds, and one sculpin. The fish survey was conducted in conjunction with habitat typing. See InfoLinks for more discussion about methods. Data were collected for the Garcia River Watershed Enhancement Plan (Mendocino County RCD, 1992).
