Caption:  This chart shows surveys of the Garcia River Estuary cross-section XS-4. Surveys were conducted in 1991, 1995, and 1998. Jackson (1998) noted that "the survey of 1998 shows that the deeper portion of the channel, near the left bank, has widened about 20 feet. The widening of the deeper portion of the channel was accompanied by deposition in the right hand half of the channel. The cross section area increased slightly between 1991 and 1995 and then decreased slightly from 1995 to 1998, indicating a minor amount of deposition on the cross section."
