Fish: Steelhead Juvenile Catch at All Garcia Tributary Sites |
|
Caption: Electrofishing samples by the California Department of Fish and Game are displayed above for Inman, Lee, upper Mill, Pardaloe and Signal creeks from 1987-1996. While all samples showed steelhead as the predominant species, few older age steelhead juveniles were present. Fewer older age juveniles versus young of the year in tributaries is expected as larger steelhead juveniles would find more suitable habitat in the pools of the mainstem. Also samples were taken without using block nets and data cannot be used for quantitative purposes. See InfoLinks for more information.
