| Caption: This chart shows 1997 floating weekly maximum temperatures in the West Branch of the Sheepscot River. Floating weekly maximum water temperatures exceed 22.5°C for extended periods during June through August. Elliott (1991) found that juvenile Atlantic Salmon stop feeding when temperatures exceed this level. Temperature data are from the Maine Atlantic Salmon Commission.
