| Caption: This chart shows floating weekly maximum temperatures in the West Branch Sheepscot River near China (river kilometer 23.04, site 268) for 2001 through 2004. Floating weekly maximum temperatures exceed 22.5°C for extended periods in all years. Elliott (1991) found that juvenile Atlantic salmon stop feeding when temperatures exceed this level.
