| Caption: This chart shows floating weekly maximum temperatures in the West Branch of the Sheepscot River at river kilometer (RKm) 20.77 for 1995 through 1999. Floating weekly maximum temperatures exceed 22.5°C for extended periods starting in mid-June and lasting through August and into September. Elliott (1991) found that juvenile Atlantic Salmon stop feeding when temperatures exceed this level. Temperature data are from the Maine Atlantic Salmon Commission.
