Caption: This chart shows 2000 floating weekly maximum temperatures in Choate Brook a tributary to the West Branch of the Sheepscot River. Floating weekly maximum water temperatures exceeded 19°C for extended periods during mid-June to mid-August, reaching levels above 22.5°C. Elliott (1991) found that juvenile Atlantic Salmon stop feeding when temperatures exceed 22.5°C while suggesting an upper limit optimum level for feeding of 19°C.
