| Caption: This chart shows floating weekly maximum temperatures in the Sheepscot River at North Whitefield near the USGS gage (river kilometer 26.66, site 74) for 2001 through 2003. Floating weekly maximum temperatures exceed 22.5°C for extended periods in all years. Elliott (1991) found that juvenile Atlantic salmon stop feeding when temperatures exceed this level.
