| Caption: This chart shows floating weekly maximum temperatures in the Sheepscot River at North Whitefield (river kilometer 26.53) between 1996 through 1999. Floating weekly maximum temperatures exceed 22.5°C during periods in all years between the month of June throughout August and also in September in 1999. Elliott (1991) found that juvenile Atlantic Salmon stop feeding when temperatures exceed this level. Temperature data are from the Maine Atlantic Salmon Commission.
