Caption: This chart shows minimum, maximum, and average daily temperatures of Dyer River in 2000. Between June and July the daily temperature range typically exceeded 19°C with maximum temperatures exceeding 22.5C. Elliott (1991) found that juvenile Atlantic Salmon stop feeding when temperatures exceed this level. Water temperatures begin to cool in August; however, average and maximum daily temperatures still exceeded 19°C until September. Temperature data are from the Maine Atlantic Salmon Commission.
