Caption:  The source table "fish_alewives_sheep_dmr_habitat_potential_source.db" contains data on the potential number of alewives that could be supported in the lakes and ponds of the Sheepscot River watershed. Lakes on ponds are grouped into three catagories: current, historically accessible, and historically inaccessible. The potential number of alewives for a waterbody is calculated by multiplying the surface area of the waterbody (in acres) by 235. Data were contributed by the Department of Marine Resources. A key to column headings: Status = Notes if waterbody is currently and/or historically accessible to alewives, Branch = Notes if waterbody is in the West Branch or Mainstem Sheepscot watershed, Ponded_Area = Waterbody name, Surface_Acreage = Total surface are of waterbody (in acres), Total_Fish_Production = Estimated number of alewives that could be potentially be produced annually by the waterbody (calculated by multiplying Surface_Acreage by 235, Allowable_Harvest = Number of alewives that would be available for harvest, Spawning_Escapement = Number of alewives that would be allowed to spawn.
