Fish: Wheatfield Fork Lower Reach 2001 by CDFG |

Caption: California Department of Fish and Game electrofishing in September 2001 showed that the lower mainstem Wheatfield Fork Gualala River, had steelhead young of the year (0+) and yearlings (1+) but roach were the dominant fish in the sample. Stickleback and sculpin were also present. Roach and stickleback thrive in warm water. Click on Info Links to read about sampling methodology.
