Caption:  The Wheatfield Fork Gualala River was surveyed from February through April 2001 for steelhead redds from House Creek to the South Fork. The highest number of redds counted was 36 on March 29-30 with the second highest total on April 2 when the total was 33. DeHaven (2002) notes that redds tend to be smoothed off by bedload movement after almost every flow peak. See Info Links for more information and a link to DeHaven (2002).
