Fish: Wheatfield Fork Upper Reach 2001 by CDFG |

Caption: California Department of Fish and Game electrofishing in September 2001 showed that the upper mainstem Wheatfield Fork Gualala River, had one steelhead young of the year (0+), yearling (1+) and a larger juvenile steelhead (2+), however, roach were the dominant fish in the sample. Stickleback and sculpin were also present. Roach and stickleback thrive in warm water. Click on Info Links to read about sampling methodology.
