Fish: Downstream Migrant Total Catch Pepperwood Creek 1974 |
|
Caption: California Department of Fish and Game used a fyke net to trap fishes migrating downstream on Pepperwood Creek, tributary of the lower Gualala River, in April and May 1974. The sample was dominated by sculpin (Cottids) and Gualala roach with only small numbers of salmonid juveniles present. Steelhead of wild origin are labeled Steelhead_W while those of hatchery origin are labeled Steelhead_H. Numbers of fish trapped cannot be construed as a fish population estimate because of unknown trap efficiency and avoidance of the trap by fish at higher flows. See Info Links for more information.
