Topic	Fish: Downstream Migrant Salmonid Catch by Week Pepperwood Cr 1974

 

Caption:  California Department of Fish and Game used a fyke net to trap fishes migrating downstream on Pepperwood Creek, tributary of the lower SF Gualala River, from April through June 1974. Samples had both steelhead trout and coho salmon with some hatchery reared steelhead also occurring in the sample. Numbers of fish trapped cannot be construed as a fish population estimate because of unknown trap efficiency and avoidance of the trap by fish at higher flows.
