Fish: Downstream Migrant Catch by Week Pepperwood Creek 1974 |
|
Caption: This chart displays catch by week a downstream migrant trap in Pepperwood Creek in 1974, the only California Department of Fish and Game downstream migrant trapping effort in the Gualala basin. This stream is tributary to the lower SF Gualala. Although coho salmon juveniles were present, they were at extremely low levels (16 captured in six weeks of trapping). Steelhead juveniles captured included both wild fish and hatchery fish that had been planted in Pepperwood Creek. The catch was dominated by sculpin and Gualala roach.
