Caption:  The chart above shows the results of a California Department of Fish and Game 2001 habitat typing survey with all relative lengths of pools, riffles and runs (flatwater), and dry reaches of stream displayed. Flatwater habitats predominate in lower Rockpile Creek (63%) with pools comprising only 30% of the reach by length and 7% by length of this Fourth Order stream lacking surface flow.
