Fish: Juvenile Steelhead Length from Lower Gualala River Sample 1952 |

Caption: The chart above shows the length of the juvenile steelhead in an electrofishing catch on August 15, 1952 in the lower Gualala River just below the North Fork. Fish ranged in length from just under 50 mm (2 inches) to over 175 mm (7 inches). Yearling and older steelhead are generally those over 100 mm (4 inches). This size class is shown in light green to distinguish probable yearlings from probable young of the year (blue). Data are derived from a California Department of Fish and Game memo (Kimsey, 1953).
