Fish: Juvenile Steelhead Length from Gualala Estuary June 1986 |

Caption: The chart above shows the length of the juvenile steelhead in seining samples collected by Brown (1986) in the Gualala River estuary in June 1986. Fish ranged in length from just under 50 mm (2 inches) to over 130 mm (5 inches). Yearling and older steelhead are generally those over 100 mm (4 inches). This size class is shown in light green to distinguish probable yearlings from probable young of the year (blue). No two-year-old fish (>150 mm) were present in the sample. Data were derived from a California Department of Fish and Game memo (Brown, 1986).
