Habitat: Pool Depth Frequency Lower SF 2002 |
|
Caption: The chart above shows the results of an August 2002 habitat typing survey of the lower South Fork Garcia River as the frequency of pool depths. Pools deeper than three feet are preferred habitat for coho juveniles and older age steelhead. While 96 pools on the lower South Fork were shallower than three feet, only four were greater than that depth. Data collected by Elizabeth Earthman and Jennifer Presnell of the Americorp Stewards program under the direction of the California Department of Fish and Game.
