Fish: Fleming Creek Salmonid Density 1987-1991 |
|
Caption: California Department of Fish and Game staff electrofished Fleming Creek, a SF Garcia River tributary, to survey anadromous salmonids from 1987 to 1991. The chart above shows the density of rearing juveniles as fish per square meter. Coho salmon showed up in 1988 only. Steelhead densities declined from 1.54 fish per square meter to 0.10 fish/sq m, but samples are insufficient to gauge trends. Juvenile steelhead variation may have been somewhat effected by flows from 1989 through 1991 due to low flows during a prolonged series of dry years. See InfoLinks for more information and for a link to the CDFG Stream Survey from which these data were taken.
