Caption:  The above chart plots floating weekly average temperature at Olsen Gulch for the years 1995-2000. Floating weekly average temperatures did not exceeded 16.8 degrees in the years 1995-2000, indicating that Olsen Gulch is sufficiently cool to support coho at this site. Welsh et al. (2001) found that coho are not likely to persist where maximum floating weekly average temperature (MWAT) exceeds 16.8°C. See InfoLinks for more information.
