Caption: The chart above shows the results of a 1991 Pardaloe Creek habitat typing survey with the frequency of pool depths. Pools deeper than three feet are preferred habitat for coho juveniles and older age steelhead. While there were 17 pools deeper than three feet, the 2-3 foot deep category had the most pools and 43 were two feet deep or less. Data collected as part of Garcia River Watershed Enhancement Plan (Mendocino County Resource Conservation District, 1992). See InfoLinks for more information.
