Caption: This chart shows the results of a 1991 lower Garcia habitat typing survey with relative lengths of pools, riffles and runs (flatwater), and dry reaches of stream displayed. Pool frequency falls within the healthy range for the North Fork with over 45% by length. Flatwater and riffle habitat were both about equally prevalent with 28% and 27%, respectively. Data collected as part of Garcia River Watershed enhancement Plan (Mendocino RCD, 1992). See InfoLinks for more information.
